Level99 takes immersive entertainment to the next level with its Challenge Rooms. To build these interactive spaces, it has chosen Garnica Fireshield, distributed in the United States by Atlantic Plywood.
Level99 is an immersive entertainment concept born in the United States, combining physical, mental and skill-based challenges in interactive spaces. Its Challenge Rooms, designed for teams of 2 to 6 people, combine competition, strategy and fun in short, engaging experiences.
Level99 currently has locations in Natick, Massachusetts; Providence, Rhode Island; Tysons, Virginia; and Orlando, Florida, with new openings in development. Its venues also feature restaurants, bars and event spaces, making them popular destinations for leisure, groups and team-building activities.
To create these spaces, Level99 requires materials that combine safety, durability and versatility. The plywood used in its installations undergoes processes including CNC machining, edge profiling, painting and scenic finishing before being integrated into the different spaces.
To meet these requirements, Level99 chose Garnica Fireshield, a fire-retardant plywood with an ASTM E-84 Class A rating. Its fire performance is inherent to the panel itself, without relying on surface treatments or coatings that could be compromised during fabrication or finishing.
Fireshield is used throughout Level99's Challenge Rooms, where the panels are CNC-machined, edge-profiled, painted and finished to become part of the interactive experiences. Its ability to machine cleanly, maintain tight tolerances and deliver consistent finishes has led Level99 to make Fireshield its standard plywood specification across its different builds.
The supply of Fireshield for these projects is supported by Atlantic Plywood, a US distributor specialising in wood products and panels and a Garnica partner in the United States. Its distribution capabilities help bring the solution to Level99's different projects as the concept continues to expand.
